These Terms govern your use of Better Budget (“the app”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The service

Better Budget is a personal budgeting app for Android that lets you record your own income and expenses. The core app is free; an optional Premium subscription unlocks additional features such as cloud backup & sync across devices. The app is provided “as is”, and features may change as it evolves.

Your account

You sign in with Google or with an email and password, or you can continue without registration (guest mode) — your data then lives only on that device until you create an account from Settings. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure and for activity that happens under them. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the app.

Premium subscriptions

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed through Google Play. Prices and plans are shown in the app before you buy; manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play subscriptions, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. We use RevenueCat to process your subscription status. If Premium ends, your data stays on your device, but Premium features (such as cloud sync) stop.

Your data

You own the financial data you enter. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Please do not use the app for unlawful purposes, attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it or its infrastructure, or try to access other users' data.

Availability and changes

Because the app is in active development, features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

No warranty; not financial advice

The app is provided without warranties of any kind. It helps you track your own numbers; it does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction to be specified before public launch.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
